Earning Apples and smashing records in Sartell

Three TriRochester members traveled to Sartell for the 30th annual Apple Duathlon. The Apple is probably the most competitive duathlon in the state, if not the region. The coveted granite apples given for awards are not easily won. The race is a 5k/33k/5k duathlon in the town on Sartell, MN. Ruth Brennan-Morrey continues to smash course records, winning again this weekend. She says it was an exhilarating race, “Racing with a deep field of fast women today-what a blast it was! Just glad I wasn't in the port potty that tipped over from the storm! Yikes! Most impressive was 88 year old Bob Powers who finished the race with a huge smile on his face.” Jim Hannon also brought home an apple with an age group win. Eric Seppelt, new to TriRochester, also brought home an age group win.
